About this Pam

Throughout my life thus far I’ve known few other Pamelas.  Odd to me is that there are several Pamela Munsons out there.  There is one in Michigan and one in Oregon.  Michigan Pam is in business of some sorts and Oregon Pam is in the teaching field.  Neither of these are me.  There is one in New York in the luxury goods business.  This could be lots of things.  Also not me.  There is one that is an owner of a Dutch Warmblood that competes in dressage and though this Pam thinks that’d be cooler than crap, she’s not me…or I’m not her.  Either way.  There is one who is the Assistant Director of Institutional Research at SUNY Plattsburgh.  Same “not me” response, but maybe she is the same as the one in Oregon but that’s just a wild guess.  There’s one in New Mexico, though Munson is her maiden name, and one in New York who is an attorney.  This is seriously not me.

The most Pams I’ve ever met in one time at one place…well, that’s for a future blog post.  It was kind of Twilight Zone-ish.

This Pamela Munson is first and foremost a wife and mother.  I’ve been married to Matt for almost 15 years and our life has been a roller coaster.  We have two beautiful and really wonderful girls.  It ain’t bragging if it’s true and it is…ask anyone!  Matt and the girls and I started on an adventure about 3 years ago to finally realize a lifelong dream and open our own gym.   Not a “regular” gym like you can find on any corner anywhere in the country but our ideal.  That gym we’ve always looked for and never found.  A place that combines Cheers (where everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came) and the martial arts schools where Matt grew up and the core of a strong family.  We’re making that and it’s better than we’d ever hoped.

Over time, I hope to tell our whole crazy story.  Don’t expect it to flow in a line for a couple of reasons.  One is that I DO NOT think linearly so speaking that way is extremely difficult.  (Ask anyone who knows me.  Matt speaks Pam or he’d be lost.)  Two is that there is so much new and crazy and funny stuff out there that I might miss chatting about something if I were to stick to the past only.  Three…well, it’s best summed up with my short attention span.

If you’re bored with any of it, then that’s what you choose to be.  I can’t help you.

Happy reading!
